Going home.

February 15, 2013 by Rika

I have a ton of stuff to post about my recent trip to the Bahamas, but I am back in Ft. Lauderdale, sick with a kidney infection (ONE DAY after my travel health insurance ran out) and running around with a million things to do before heading home to Roatan on Sunday morning. And now I’m sitting here stuck in the house waiting for the weather to clear up, because I can’t ride my scooter in the rain and today is the one day it’s decided to rain during my 6 weeks in Florida. Gahhhhhhhhh!

In the meantime, here is a video my little brother sent me and said, “you are the girl in this video, except you aren’t fat and you actually did those things and you didn’t get hit by a truck”. It is awesome and hilarious. Definitely NOT safe for work, kids, grandparents, etc….. but if you ever wondered what my life was/is like, this is a pretty accurate representation!

I’ll be back on here next week once I get settled at home in Roatan. I cannot wait to be home!

OMG! I stumbled upon your blog here while researching Roatan and you are hysterical and honest, I'm a huge fan now of you and your brother for sharing that video, love it!!!

I love this video in every way! I sooo feel her when she keeps hitting the alarm clock. You just want the routine to end and just be. You feel like everyone else is mechanical and wonder how they can do the same things day in and day out. Thanks for the video!

Haha! There has never been a truer video than this to describe the typical day in West End. It's a special skill to do a discrete walk of shame through a village where there's only one freakin' road!

Oh, that walk of shame is a killer. And you can't even play it off like you're just doing a really early morning walk because everyone saw you at the bar the night before and they know you're wearing the same clothes. Ah, small town problems 🙂

Please don't tell me it is raining in Florida, I head to Daytona Beach soon and want some sunshine.

That video is very comical and I'm sure many can relate to it. We all know how the girl in the video feels.

Sorry – it was rainy and cold when I left! But hopefully I took the crap weather with me… it's already too hot for me in Roatan 🙂
