[GUEST POST]: 3 Spectacular Days in Singapore

June 5, 2013 by Rika 3 Comments

Guys, I’ve stayed put on Roatan for nearly a year now and I feel like my travel blog is a little more expat-blog than travel-blog these days. Here to help me out is Peter Lee, with a post about three spectacular days in Singapore! Peter is an expert on all things Singapore, so be sure to get in touch with him if you’re planning a trip there. Enjoy!

3 Spectacular Days In Stunning Singapore

Singapore, famously referred to as the Lion City, is a popular tourist destination which attracts tourists from all over the world. Annually, millions of tourists visit the city to enjoy its treasures of rich culture, heritage and fascinating tourist attractions. Ideally, a 3-4 day tour gives you ample time to explore and feel the vibrant pulse of the city. Keeping in view that you do not miss out any of the major attractions, we have worked out an ideal 3 day tour.

Day 1

Fresh and all geared up to explore the city, start your day with a good breakfast meal at the cozy cafes and coffee shops lined up on the streets in plenty.

Jurong Bird Park: Escape to a place of beauty, peace and adventure, the Jurong Bird Park. This is a world famous bird zoo which houses a large variety of bird life. Enjoy the exemplary beauty of the lush green surroundings and their magnificent inhabitants. The zoo also holds special bird shows.

Orchard Street: From the place of peace and tranquility head to the enchanting Orchard Street. It is a paradise for shopaholics. This shopping belt boasts iconic malls and restaurants.

Singapore Flyover: A ride on this world’s largest giant observation wheel at sunset offers you a breathtaking panoramic view of the city gleaming in bright lights at night. You can spot the skyscrapers and some of the iconic landmarks of the city.

Enjoy your dinner at the fine restaurants lined on the Singapore River.

Day 2

Interestingly, foreigners comprises of around 36% of the population of the city. On your second day, gear up to explore the colors of the city’s cultural diversity.

Chinatown: Visit Chinatown to discover the culture and heritage of the Chinese population of the city. Feel the pulse of the Chinese culture with the vibrant shopping markets, food offerings, architecture of the buildings and museums.

Little India: Walk in the streets of Little India for a fascinating peek into the Indian culture and lifestyle. The small shops and food stalls lined up on the street promise an array of the colors of Indian culture. Do not forget to strike a good bargain with the shopkeepers.

Singapore Zoo: The Night Safari at Singapore Zoo is a thrilling experience. Observe the animals in their natural habitat in action at night through a tram ride.

Day 3

Rise up early to enjoy the last day of your trip in the city.

Sentosa Island: It is a perfect destination for the thrill seekers and nature lovers. Enjoy the beach activities at its pristine beaches and explore the surrounding mountain ranges.

Make the most of your 3 day holiday trip to Singapore with the above suggested places of interest. If you are looking forward to holidaying in Singapore then it is better to seek Holiday Pass for Singapore, as it is the best option for exploring the city. It will help you explore this incredible destination the best way.
