The things we do.

March 26, 2012 by EM

It’s Sunday night and still nothing on the job front. I’m disappointed. I had no idea it would be this hard to get a part-time evenings/weekend job. I don’t live anywhere near the big box stores in the suburbs…I guess I could get a job at one of those, but it would probably be an hour of transit each way. If it comes to that I will, but everyone cross your fingers for me that it doesn’t!

I did manage to get through the weekend without spending any money, and even made a tiny bit! It was my friend’s birthday and another friend of ours very kindly paid for my drinks as he knew I was saving for a trip. Then after he very kindly got me wasted, he offered me $20 to put on a pair of Depends over my pants in the middle of the bar and walk around with them on for the rest of the night. (The birthday boy was wearing them, that’s why we had adult diapers in a bar. Seriously. Do not have birthdays with my friends unless you have a very good sense of humor, and not much dignity.) Well……….. I am now the proud owner of $20 and way too many incriminating photographs that will definitely cause problems for any future political career. Then today another wonderful friend took me out for a much-needed hangover brunch! So to recap, I got drunk for free, ate for free and made $20. Not a bad weekend.
